Philip Toelkes has over 30 years of litigation, arbitration and mediation experience.  He has litigated and mediated in most areas of business law, as well as personal injury.  His mediations have also focused extensively on family/domestic relations issues.  Philip’s experience of the economic and human costs of litigation has engendered a strong commitment to mediation, a more efficient, humane and empowering alternative for the parties.  Philip has been trained, and has practiced in a range of mediation approaches, and draws on those approaches depending on the needs and preferences of the parties and counsel.   
Summary of Professional Experience

Professional Mediation Training and Emphasis: Certified Mediator for Peninsula Dispute Resolution Center.  Multiple 40 hour certified trainings, as well as advanced trainings.  Emphasis on mediation of: business disputes, including construction defect claims and real estate contractual disputes; marital dissolution and related custody and property issues, and; personal injury.

Facilitation Consulting with Transformance Business Consulting, designing communications formats and programs, business coaching.

Laura O’Neal has been a trainer for over 20 years teaching communications, business start-up, non-profit Board/Staff training and many basic and advanced mediation and conflict resolution subjects.  Laura has been a mediator for 11 years and mediates family, business,  and victim/offender cases.  Laura specializes in high-emotion family cases. Laura has a highly developed skill and ability to listen and question, even in the presence of strong negative emotions.  Laura has hundreds of hours of mediation experience.  She assists the parties to get past their fixed positions and strong emotions in order to ascertain their real interests and achieve a resolution.  

Laura served as Executive Director and lead trainer for Peninsula Dispute Resolution Center for seven years.  Laura is lead instructor for the 40-hour Basic Mediation, Advanced Family Mediation, Communication Skills and Conflict Resolution Skills for the Workplace.

Laura served two terms as the President of Resolution Washington (State association of Dispute Resolution Centers) in 2009 and 2010.  

Laura taught the Entrepreneurial Program at Peninsula College from 1999 to 2002 and has over 20 years of experience in training, business and marketing.
